Food Security is the foundation of peace in every community
Investment in the eradication of hunger today is a good business decision. Without this investment, our nation may disintegrate into a country sharply divided between those who have enough to eat and those who do not.
~ Alan G. Hassenfeld, Chair & CEO of Hasbro, Inc.

A Volatile Nigeria
Daily crime and violence everywhere that makes it difficult to feel safe anywhere in the country
Our Options as Nigerians in Nigeria
Possible Solutions
“Stupidity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.”
We maintain our ways. Unchanged, like our leaders as we sink further into chaos.
Otherwise, Come together to attempt averting this crisis before its Too Late.
We can make a difference together
In August 2024, we brainstormed and decided to make an attempt at a solution to hunger in the country instead of waiting for someone else to do it as the country suffers.
The big question
How can we improve food security in Nigeria?
Food is national security. Food is economy. It is employment, energy, history. Food is everything. ~ José Andrés
Our Options
- Feed the people as a charity
2. Teach people how to grow their food at home at almost no cost
We chose the second option. Food production should no longer be left at the hands of farmers only. It must become a personal responsibility. Every Nigerian should learn to grow food in their home
Hence, Gaata was born
Vision
We want to empower neighborhoods to be self reliant
Mission
Gaata will be an intermediary NGO dedicated to developing and implementing effective frameworks that will enable communities to eradicate hunger in their homes
we plan to be a non-profit organisation that seeks to be a bridge that gather resources from people to implement effective methodologies of resolving hunger across nigerian communities
we aim to make nigerians realise that as a collective, we have the resources and ability to solve our most immediate problems without waiting for politicians or others to come to our aid.
How it will work
Why join us on this project
Why Get Involved?
“Extreme poverty anywhere is a threat to human security everywhere.” — Kofi Annan,

If you want to eliminate hunger, everybody has to be involved
— Bono
Together, we can make this attempt at saving our fellow brothers and sisters from hunger. If this project is successful, we will have probably found the key to lift this nation up from its humiliating position.
Let us save the humanity of our nation by not allowing hunger to push us to keep doing unspeakable acts against each other
social media handles
For those that think, – it is not my business to help fix hunger in Nigeria
Just remember, the situation in Nigeria will only get worse . Yes it can get worse. This is not the the worst it can get. Unless, we collectively work together in fixing this nation, we will continue to suffer at the hands of everyone.
It has become necessary to get involved in solving hunger in this country. Do it for yourself and family.
Nigerians can no longer afford to wait for the government to do its job. We have to first save our fellow Nigerians from their suffering if we want to have any chance of a decent life in our communities.
Take action! Get involved!
